dreamerDreams are important. In many cultures they are considered sacred, and the care and tending to dreams is woven into the rhythm of cultural life. The old testament recounts many dreams. Traditions throughout the world have cultivated systems of understanding, interpreting and honoring dreams.

They can be a fount of creativity and inspiration as well as a source of intense torture and fear.

They can provide a potent indicator of what is happening in one’s relationship to oneself or seem totally random and confusing. They can linger throughout the day, stick with us for years, or flit away before waking without leaving a trace.

Dreams can and do help us correct course, warn us, prepare us for the days events. They can help us grieve. They are a place where the dead can visit the living. They help people learn new skills, and practice new ways of being.

Dreams have been used to predict illnesses in the body before lab work can detect anything out of balance. Work with dreams can stimulate immune response (Robert Bosnak’s work at Harvard, for instance).

Dreams inspire artists and scientists. Many great discoveries have come in dreams.

And dreams can be a significant symptom for those suffering of PTSD, depression, and anxiety.

Dreams are important. For many people, the dreams, in their persistence, ask to be attended to.

Whatever your relationship to dream, if you seeking a person to help you work with your dreams, I invite you to visit my web page at www.barbturner.com for more information.
